About Legacy Geckos
A small, obsessive breeding project in Boksburg, Gauteng, dedicated to healthy, well-documented crested geckos and the people who keep them.
Our philosophy
We breed crested geckos for health, structure, and genetic integrity first, and for colour and pattern second. Every animal in our archive is tracked from hatch date through parentage, so the lineage behind a specimen is never a guess. We keep our colony small on purpose: it lets us give each gecko individual attention and keeps our records honest.
Ethical breeding
We pair animals only when both parents are healthy, mature, and at a appropriate weight. Hatchlings are established on a proper diet and monitored for the first weeks before they are listed. We never sell an animal we would not keep ourselves, and we will tell you plainly if a particular gecko is not the right fit for your experience level.
After the sale
Buying a gecko is the beginning, not the end. We provide a care guide with every specimen, and we are available by WhatsApp for questions on husbandry, feeding, and setup for as long as you keep the animal. Our goal is a confident, well-supported keeper, not a one-time transaction.
